What is itSMF Macedonia?  Non-profit organization affiliated to the itSMF International.  Established as a forum for: – IT service/product providers, – IT service/product users, – other related parties  To explore all means available to maximize IT business value.  Will operate within the Macedonia IT industry and its objectives must be relevant to that context.

Mission The itSMF is a global forum whose aims are primarily:  To develop and promote best practice in IT Service Management  To engender professionalism within IT Service Management personnel  To provide members with a relevant forum in which to exchange information and share experiences with their peers  To liaise with other parties that share an interest in IT Service Management  To provide a vehicle for helping members improve service performance

1. To develop, accumulate, and disseminate knowledge and ITIL and other best practices of the IT service management and related areas. 2. To encourage the growth, standardization and recognition of IT Service Management throughout the Macedonian IT industry. 3. To recognize and reward individuals and organizations who make significant contributions to the advancement of best practices, standards and professionalism in IT Service Management. 4. To provide mechanisms, formal and informal, which contribute to a culture of Continuing Professional Development. Objectives

5. To provide the membership with a forum that enables them to exchange and share their views and experiences on the IT service management and related areas. 6. To provide a range of services which can maximize IT business value of the member organizations. 7. To be an active member of itSMF International. 8. To connect with other Macedonian and regional organizations interested in ITSM Objectives

Accumulating Knowledge/Best Practices in the ITSM and related areas:  to perform research projects  to operate SIGs (Special Interest Groups)  to translate global best practices, books, and journal articles into Macedonian  to maintain knowledge base of ITSM products, services, and training available both locally and internationally Activities

Disseminating Knowledge /Best Practices in the ITSM and related areas:  To organize regular events (i.e., seminars and conferences) to build knowledge and awareness about ITSM and to facilitate contact between ITSM professionals.  To provide the membership with global best practices, books, and journal articles related to ITSM  To provide access to a knowledge base of ITSM products, services, and training.  To support ITSM related training/education.

Activities Providing the membership with a forum:  To provide a forum which enables real-time exchange of views and opinions among members through WWW.  Maintaining a membership list to facilitate contact between members. Contributing to the development of ITSM area:  To participate in the development and improvement of international ITSM standards.  To pursue administration of Macedonian version of ITSM standard certification.  To purse establishment of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) curriculum in universities.

Deliverables A web site with the following information: - a description of the purpose of itSMF - a description of the “best practice” approaches and frameworks that itSMF supports - a description of how the local chapter operates - the membership types/fees/benefits offered - how to become a member - contact details for the chapter - a link to other itSMF websites ( - a description of any services the chapter offers and how to access themwww.itsmf.org

Deliverables Events  The chapter will offer a mixture of free and chargeable events.  A chargeable annual conference is planned.  At least one “paying” event per year Booksales  The chapter offers itSMF, OGC/TSO and other publications for sale.  These can be offered at good discounts to members and allow the chapter to create a revenue stream. An Annual General Meeting (AGM) Reports to the International secretariat

Membership  itSMF Macedonia is wholly owned by its members and is not dependent upon any specific vendor organization.  Membership status in the itSMF Macedonia will be obtained upon successful application and the payment of a fee determined by the Management Board.  Membership is valid for one year from the date that membership fees are invoiced.
