Knowing your Laws Educational Program addressed to immigrant population in Madrid. Run by bar volunteers. Promotes the integration of immigrants in the Madrid society Informs of core features of the Spanish institutional and legal system through conferences.

Knowing your Laws In cooperation with local government and law firms. 3 consecutive Saturdays, 17 to 20h Groups of four volunteers. The CRSA provides complete materials and know-how information to volunteers (sponsored by Wolters Kluwer Foundation). November 2010: – participants – 230 volunteers

Knowing your Laws Organized in three modules:  Summary of Spanish Constitutional Law. — Fundamental Rights and Duties — Organization of the Spanish State  Overview of basic rights and obligations: family, inheritance, commercial, labor, criminal, tax and consumer laws that affect every day interactions in Spain.  Immigration laws, administrative procedures and the authorities involved: —Work permits —Residence permits —Spanish nationality —Breach of immigration laws and consequences

Representatives of the Madrid Bar Association and local government give diplomas to the participants. Diploma ceremony at the Law School of the Universidad Complutense, Madrid.
