UEMS in Latin America: a new challenge Accreditation system in Spain In 2014 UEMS, SEAFORMEC and the Spanish Ministry of Health signed an agreement whereby in Spain SEAFORMEC is the institution in charge of validating the UEMS credits (ECCME´s) to credits of the Spanish National Health System.

UEMS in Latin America: a new challenge Accreditation system in Spain * Currently, someone requests accreditation from UEMS, this receives their credits and, through SEAFORMEC, with a correction coefficient (different accreditation methodology) they are validated to credits of the National Health System. * All this under the agreement signed in 2014

CME FOR SMALL LIVE EVENTS: Less tan 200 doctors The most of the events held in Medical Colleges, Hospitals, GP centers.. are between 25 to doctors. 52 Medical Colleges throughout the National Territory (one for each Spanish province) with their corresponding training departments.

Confederation of Latin American medical entities. Founded in 2007 in Bahia (Brazil). Non-governmental private entity formed by all national medical entities: - Andean Region: Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. - Central American and Caribbean Region: Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Panama and Puerto Rico. - Southern Region: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. - European Region: Portugal and Spain.

Create an space for permanent exchange of communication on medical ethics and professional competence. Cooperate in permanent professional, leadership and career development.

Role of UEMS in CONFEMEL: Expansion of the CME with UEMS accreditation through the SEAFORMEC platform 1 ECCME = 1AMA (++ expensive). Expansion of ETRs and Boards in countries with specialized training less regulated than in Europe. Role of co-partner never of leadership or paternalistic role.
