Catalyst Fund HEFCE’s Catalyst Fund supports innovative and exceptional activity across higher education sector in teaching, research and knowledge exchange £45m available per year Supports HEFCE/government strategic priorities Strong emphasis on collaborative partnerships and match funding/co-investment Investment in projects which will achieve major strategic changes and provide ongoing benefits for higher education and wider society that would not occur without additional funding

Police Knowledge Fund HEFCE investing £5m from Catalyst Fund matched with £5m from Home Office to create Police Knowledge Fund £10m fund over two years – / Support collaborations between police forces and HE institutions to develop new and innovative ways of policing Aim to fund range of high quality activity across the country in teaching, research and knowledge exchange
