Ministerial Advisory Committee: Students with Disabilities Access Assistants Program supports students with disability who have complex health support needs. Access Assistant Health Support Officers who are credentialed workers who provide direct health care for students provide direct complex and invasive health care (

Ministerial Advisory Committee: Students with Disabilities Families SA Tutoring Program (CIRC) Children and young people with disability who require extra tutoring to participate in their school curriculum. CIRC tutoring services must be tied to a Education Plan for the student with disability

Ministerial Advisory Committee: Students with Disabilities Non-Government Centres Support Funding Non-government organisations that provider services to children and students with disability in agreement with the three education sectors not-for-profit not managed by, or on behalf of the government not a school

Ministerial Advisory Committee: Students with Disabilities Funding Process Funding is provided retrospectively Based on services provided over previous 4 terms (terms 3 & 4; terms 1 & 2) Data reports are received twice per year in April and August Grants are determined after August data For the duration of one calendar year Funding is supplementary

Ministerial Advisory Committee: Students with Disabilities Funding Model from 2011 MAC: SWD restructured the funding model in response to education sector requests for more intensive service provided by non- government organisations receiving Non- Government Centres Support Funding.

Ministerial Advisory Committee: Students with Disabilities General Support – 30% Expert advice to staff in relation to child’s specific needs Consultation with teacher/educator – Curriculum planning – Programming – Assessment of environment Observations leading to education plan Meetings with staff (e.g. NEP)

Ministerial Advisory Committee: Students with Disabilities Specific Service Support – 60% Service providers must work directly with the child at preschool/school – Speech pathology services – Occupational therapy services – Physiotherapy services – Auditory-verbal therapy – Individual intensive support – Developmental educator support – Specialist psychiatric services.

Ministerial Advisory Committee: Students with Disabilities Outreach Support – 10% Support provided in country regions, as defined in the South Australian Government’s Regional Boundaries.
