Perran Class Parents Evening, 16 th September, 2014.

Welcome to the Reception Class 8.30 am Staff briefing every morning; 8.45 am Classroom open for children and parents to come in; 9.00 am Register ~ if your child is late please report to Dot in the office. If your child is ill, please ring Dot to let us know. A letter when they come back would be appreciated.

Class Routine We are promoting independence so when you come into the cloakroom ensure your child:  Takes their tuck out of their bag and hang their coat and bag on their peg, then put their lunch box and drink away if appropriate;  On entering the classroom put tuck in their tray;  Register for school dinner or packed lunch;  Say cheerio and leave them to choose an activity before we do the register!

Further info:  Children read with Mrs Jilbert or myself on a regular basis;  Please send reading packets in EVERY day!  Initial planner every day so we know you have seen it!  Any toys the children bring to school should fit into their tray...nothing too expensive as toys have been known to get broken!  Tuck can be purchased from 20p;  Please name EVERYTHING!!

and  send coats in EVERY day as we will be outside at some point during every day;  Please send a pair of wellies to keep in school during term time;  NO jewellery please;  Sensible shoes along with the correct uniform.

School Planner Read through the home/school agreement and sign it along with your child; Initial the relevant day so that we know you have seen the planner; Any messages for me can be written in the planner; Please send the planner in the red reading packet every day;

Lunchtime  All school lunches are now provided free of charge, however some children prefer a packed lunch ~ all children will be sitting together regardless of them having a school lunch or a packed lunch. Lunch time is to 1.00 pm;  I will sit with the children in the hall to make sure they eat their lunch;  Pupil Premium is available to some parents, please see me afterwards if you think you are entitled to this;

WOW!!! sheets WOW sheets are for you to complete when your child does something above and beyond your expectations at home and makes you say WOW!!! Please fill the sheet in and send it into school, where the children can post them in the WOW box. They will be very proud when they are read out to the rest of the class!!!
