March Revolution of 1917 Problems before the March Revolution of 1917 – The Duma fails; therefore, reforms of 1905 fail – Corruption in Russia increases; Distrust for Tsar continues – WWI takes its toll; casualties, shortages, etc. The Event(s) – Citizens strike and protest; however, troops refuse to fire Results of March Revolution of 1917 – Tsar abdicates (leaves the throne) – Temporary government installed; constitutional democracy – WWI continues
