The recent and significant technological evolution in the field of petroleum industry, has made it possible that many industrial installations generate more risks that might cause significant losses in lives, property and environmental protection.

These training programs are designed to help protect the huge investments in the oil & gas industries which are considered to be the backbone of Egypt’s future economic development.

Accordingly, training in general has been considered as one of the most important tools needed to achieve high levels of industrial hygiene, safety and protection of the environment. Training efforts also contribute to the development of human resources needed for the future of the country. Petrosafe as the petroleum sector training center has taken the responsibility with great efforts to develop up-to-date training programs in the areas of safety, industrial hygiene and protection of the environment. –Provide assistance in obtaining funds needed, by petroleum companies for training in safety, industrial hygiene and environmental protection. –To train 15% of the total work force in the petroleum sector companies in the areas of safety, industrial hygiene and environmental protection. –To train workers in joint venture, investment, and some foreign companies operating in Egypt.

Prepare and develop selected groups of training courses that cover different specialties and employment levels. And, to focus more on the applied aspects and on the most common hazards that might be encountered in those particular areas of the training. Provide high quality training material to insure that trainees would apply local and international standards in the field of HSE with the highest levels of industrial and environmental safety. To transfer from a centralized training system to a more distributed localities system (e.g. Cairo, Suez and Alexandria) in order to facilitate and reduce cost of training for the participating companies and instructors. It would also be possible to provide training at the customer’s site. To take advantage of the availability of specialized human resources in the fields of Safety, Industrial Hygiene locally, from within or out side the Petroleum Sector froom different cadres of employment. These local specialists would serve as instructors in different training courses for 5 working days / month / instructor. This would allow for minimal impact on the work flow of the participating companies. PRACTICAL TRAINING ON FIRE FIGHTING FOR PROFESSIONAL FIREMEN

Petrosafe company through careful planning and preparation has started one of the most important specialized training programs, with advanced technical levels to meet the needs of many companies. For example these specialized training programs include: –The practical training for professional fire fighters to control fire for all the companies in the field, with the intention to train and qualify specialized technical cadres capable to fight different types of fires in a highly technical and scientific manner. This program consists of 70% practical training.

–Through field surveys of training facilities available for fire fighting within other companies in the field - Petrosafe has selected the Suez Petroleum Company fire fighting school to conduct this training. –There are continuous efforts to expand these training courses to train and qualify all the needed fire fighters.

–Expand on the customer base within the petroleum sector to include (Public sector, Joint Venture sector, Investment and private sectors respectively). –Expand to other industrial and production sectors within the Arab Republic of Egypt. –Open new markets in the Arab World and in some parts of Africa.
