HI-ART ® High Abrasion Resistent Textile A few minutes about |

Hi-Art is the name of a ”terry lope” textile, developed by Jofama. The principle is that abrasion takes place against the short ends of the fibres, as apposed to a flat structure. The structure itself is also thicker, which takes more time to wear through. The material is pliable and can be used behind stretch panels as extra protection against abrasion. The material is available in two versions: Hi-Art Light, a thinner version, suitable for lighter clothing. Hi-Art, a thicker variety, for more protection against abrasion.

Hi-Art is used in all Safety garments. Hi-Art material is used also in area’s of garments that are more exposed to abrasion in case of a fall, like shoulders, elbows, hips/seat and knees. Hi-Art is also used as a complete liner in the Safety Grip glove and in the panels in most of our other gloves.

Hi-Art Light improves abrasion resistance by 520% in combination with textile materials, as apposed to textile alone. Hi-Art Light improves abrasion resistance by 230% in combination with leather as apposed to leather alone.

Thank you for taking 10 minutes to read about Jofama’s products and our view on HI-ART!
