Options List  Do a cheer  Perform a rap/song  Create a CD case  Write a poem  Make a comic strip

Cheerleaders:  In pairs or groups, come up with an appropriate cheer that summarizes the chapter  Include all key points in your cheer  Choreograph a routine to go with your chapter  Dress up on the day of your cheer presentation (in class only)!  Presentations are on Friday

Rappers and Singers:  In pairs, groups, or on your own, come up with a rap or song that summarizes the chapter  Include all key points in your rap/song  Dress for the part (in class only)! Presentations are on Friday  Include background music. Have your rap/song go to the beat of an existing song and bring the music with you to class for your presentation (no words in background music)

CD Casers:  On your own, create a cover for a CD that illustrates an important scene in Chapter 20  Give your CD an appropriate band name and album title; these must be original  Create a list of songs that use details from the chapter. List these on the back.  Use LOTS of color!!!!!!! (minimal white)  Put your finished product in a clear CD case  Turn your CD case in on Friday  These better be good because there is no presentation required for this option!!!

Poem Writers:  On your own, write a poem that summarizes either the entire chapter or one scene you find important  Give your poem an appropriate title  Poem length is up to your discretion  Your poem must rhyme and have some sort of a beat to it  Type up or neatly write out your poem and turn it in on Friday  Poems better be good because there is no presentation required for this option either!!!

Comic Strip Creators:  In pairs or on your own, create a comic strip that summarizes either the entire chapter or one scene you think is important  Give your comic strip an appropriate, catchy title  Comic strips should have at least 6 scene boxes  Use LOTS of color!!!!!!!!! (minimal white)  Characters can talk, but they don’t have to as long as it is clear what they are trying to portray  Turn in your finished product on Friday  These better be good because they do not require a presentation either!!!

To Do List… Today:  Decide on an option  Decide if you’re working by yourself or with others (if the choice is available for your assignment option)  See Ms. Natividad to get your selection okayed  Read Chapter 20 Tomorrow:  Work on assignment option  Finish any additional work not completed in class for homework Friday:  Present or turn in your assignment  Blow me away with your amazing cheers, raps, songs, CD covers, poems, and/or comic strips
