Combining 21 st Century Skills…

 Residents of Ramsey and Saddle River are invited to attend.  Flyers and advertisements are distributed through the Senior Center.  All 8 th grade students in my Computer Cycle classes have been involved in the presentations and classes offered.  All students are given a specific “task”.

 Understand the needs of the senior citizen and how technology is a necessary component in their daily lives.  Need to think critically while preparing the events of the day. This includes admin preparation, written activities, and surveys.  Solve problems such as creating a lesson on the subject through researching and managing the information gathered.  Make connections between their knowledge of the newest technology and how to teach someone with no knowledge.

 Be able to communicate during the one-on-one portion of the class.  Be independent and able to adapt to change when asked questions by the seniors that are not part of the lesson.  Exhibit character and demonstrate responsibility as the students represent the student body of Smith School.
