Fourth and fifth graders on our Green Team have been creating sculptures out of bottle caps. We have been collecting bottle caps all school year to use in our art project. First we had to collect the bottle caps in our school: Green Team News Next we had to sort all of the caps we collected:

Next we had to plan our designs. We used images related to the Earth that would like nice in our courtyard. We traced the pictures on wood that was donated from a construction job. A parent volunteer helped us to cut the wood. We then painted the sculptures with outdoor paint:

After the paint dried, we placed bottle caps around the sculptures to make our design. We got to use drills to attach the bottle caps:
