Mozart’s Early Years Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria (1756) Known as a child prodigy in the musical world He performed with his sister and father and traveled to many places They traveled to Augsburg, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Mannheim, Mainz, Stuttgart, and Paris Idomeneo was known to be his first great opera introduced early in his life

Mozart’s Middle Life Mozart continued to stay in Salzburg and conduct music until opportunities dwindled Mozart came to the decision that Vienna was a “golden opportunity” for a musical career He wrote fifteen piano concertos from 1782 to He received a minor court post as “Kammermusicus” which was writing music for fancy balls
