Objectives (1)To improve comprehension skills of the pupils; Pupils can answer questions in complete sentences. Pupils can answer questions carefully.

Hints on Improving Comprehension Skills (1)Don’t expect understand every single word in a passage. You can often guess the meaning of a word based on contextual clues;

(2)Pay attention to the tenses. Tenses tell you when somethings happened, is happening or will happen. In your answers, you should use the correct tenses. For example, Why did the children want to go home? ( You should use the past tense to answer the question. ) It was because it started to rain.

(3)When doing comprehension exercises, read the instructions carefully first to understand what to do. For example, i) Answer the questions with complete sentences. ii) Read the story/passage and answer the questions.
