 Molly is deciding to stay with the Indians instead of going home with the chief (because her parents were killed so she would have to go with the chief)

 Molly: The main character of the story. A twelve year old girl who has to adjust to living in Seneca town with the Indians.  Little Turtle/Turkey Feather: Little Turtle is one of Molly’s first friends in Seneca Town. When he catches his first turkey, his name gets changed to Turkey Feather  Shagbark: Is like the grandpa in the story. He Makes many of the tools in the village. Earth Women is like the doctor of the village. Her special dances can apperintly bring rain and other plant-relatied things. Josiah: Josiah is a boy from virgina who also gets captured from the indians. Blue Jay: Blue Jay is the baby in the indian village and gets watched from Molly.

 This book is in our book club because it is in the time of Indians and there are also

 The theme of independence plays a role in our book because Molly has to learn to work without her family with people who at first she is not very comfortable with.

Our group did three skits, one about the being of the book, one about the middle of the book, and one about the end of the book.

 Our beginning skit is when Molly and her family gets captured from the warriors.  Chet, Neighbor Wheelock, Molly, Mrs. Jemison, Indians

 Our Second Skit is going to be when Little Turtle and Molly go hunting.  Characters: Molly, Little Turtle, Shagbark.

 The ending skit is when Molly figures out that she can either stay with the Indians of go home with a captain.

 That concludes a wonderful book written by Lois Lenski
