2. A girl named Melody. She wants to be like everybody else but she is paralyzed and mute. Melody gets a computer that can talk for her. This computer allows Melody to join a trivia team called Whiz Kids. Melody’s trivia team made it to the finals and they go to Washington D.C. to compete.

3.  Melody- A smart 5 th grade girl who is paralyzed and mute.  Mrs. V- Melody’s neighbor who helps her with words.  Penny- Melody’s baby sister. Melody is very jealous of her.  Catherine- Melody’s assistant in school.  Rose- Melody’s best friend.

4.  Freddy– Special ed. Friend.  Mom- Melody’s mom.  Dad- Melody’s dad.  Claire- A mean girl from Melody’s class.  Molly- A mean girl from Melody’s class.  Butterscotch- Melody’s dog.

5. Melody’s home- Melody lives here with her family. Mrs. V’s house- This is were Melody studies and practices words. School- This is were whiz kids club meets. TV studio- Whiz kids competition.

6. MMelody is mute MMelody is paralyzed TThe team leaves for Washington D.C without Melody

7. Through the use of a computer, Melody is able to find her voice and show others that she is very smart. Melody goes to a normal class where she meets Rose. Both Rose and Melody make the Whiz Kids team, where their friendship begins. The morning of the competition the team leaves without Melody. Will that end the friendship between Rose and Melody?
