Descriptive adjectives are placed after the noun: Colors La casa blanca = The White House El libro morado = the purple book Membership or classification La mujer ecuatoriana = The Ecuadorian woman Adjectives that modify an adverb or phrase El libro muy intersante. = The very interesting book. Certain rules apply: If you are using more than 1 adjective they will both come after the noun. Ex. La casa grande y cara = The big and expensive house.

Exceptions to the rule! Adjectives of appreciation: When the adjective is used before the noun it is like our “really _____________.” Ex. Es un músico bueno. = He is a good musician. Es un buen músico. = He is a really good musician. Adjectives of appreciation: When the adjective is used before the noun it is like our “really _____________.” Ex. Es un músico bueno. = He is a good musician. Es un buen músico. = He is a really good musician.

The following are the types of adjectives that always come before a noun. Non-descriptive adjectives Ex. Nuestra abuela. = Our grandmother Reinforcing adjectives Ex.
