2 Showing Possession In Spanish there are NO apostrophes.
You cannot say, for example, Jorge’s dog, (using an apostrophe)

3 Showing Posession You must say,
“The dog of Jorge,” only in Spanish. Like this: El perro de Jorge.

4 De + noun This concept of showing possession is using “de + noun.”
For example:

5 De + Noun Tengo el cuaderno de Felipe.
La hermana de Maria es simpática.

Adjectives DESCRIBE nouns, correct? Well, they can also show possession.

Here are the possessive adjectives in English: my, your, his, her, our, and their.

8 Posessive Adjectives It is like saying “my dog, your house, his notebook, etc.”

adjectives in Spanish!

10 Posessive Adjectives singular mi / mis (my) tu / tus (your)
su / sus (his,her) or (your f.) plural nuestro a, os, as (our) vuestro, a, os, as (your inf.) su / sus (their) or (your f.)

11 Possessive Adjectives
Some examples: mi hermano mis hermanos tu abuela tus abuelas su hijo sus hijos nuestro tío nuestros tíos nuestra tía nuestras tías

12 Possessive Adjectives
The possessive adjective must be singular if the noun is singular and plural if the noun is plural.

13 Posessive Adjectives Mi prima es alta. Todas mis primas son altas.

14 Posessive Adjectives Son rubios los hermanos de Rafael? No, sus hermanos son pelirrojos.

15 Remember: There are 4 “your”s in Spanish. They are equivalent to:
Your (talking to your friend=tú – tu/tus) Your (talking to an adult = usted -su/sus) Your (talking to a group in Spain = vosotros- vuestro –a/os/as) Your (talking to a group = ustedes – su/sus)
