Nitric Oxide Set-up for Patients on Ventilator
Injector Module Place the injector module directly to ventilator on the inspiratory limb of the ventilator circuit, where the gas flow exits the ventilator. This is the same for any ventilator. Inspiratory Injector Module
Sample line non- heated circuit set up Is placed in line on inspiratory limb, 6-12” after the injector module and 6-12” from patient. Will need to cut circuit and use blue adaptor to add T-piece for sample line. S A M P L E I N
Sample Line for heated circuit Sample line placed on dry side of heater 6-12” after injector module . Will need blue adaptor to place in-line and T-piece where sample line attach. Sample Line

Connecting the Nitric tank Remove the shrink wrap and red lock (push down on lock to remove.) Remove cap on tank and connect hose to tank (one hose for each tank.)
Turn tank on and purge line Turn on tank: Turn tank on (open completely). When tank is off, dashes and the # Zero should be flashing. The dashes disappear when tank is on.
Delivery of Nitric Resuscitation Bag Can bag with same amount of NO you can deliver in-line. Must be hooked up to Oxygen source. Attach Ambu bag to front of nitric where flow meter is located. Run flow meter at 15LPM. Picture from dartmed.dartmouth.edu NO dial O2 line Connect ambu

The big picture
When you are all done with Nitric Turn off the gauge when Nitric is discontinued. You will see Dashes (-------) on the gauge when gas is completely off. No dashes and the tank is not off. Turn paper work in to Mike, also call mike and Cyndi when you turned it off.
