LESSON 20 CONNECTIONS 4. What does God command in the Sixth Commandment? God commands everyone to lead a pure and decent life. He commands husbands and wives to love and honor each other.

THE SEVENTH COMMANDMENT You shall not steal. What does this mean? We should fear and love God that we do not take our neighbor’s money or property, or get it by dishonest dealing, but help him to improve and protect his property and means of income.

James reminds us that everything we have comes from God, and if God hasn’t given us something he has good reason. Ephesians 4:28 tells us it is wrong to steal.

In what way did that make his guilty of stealing? Because of the mechanical problems, anybody who bought the car would be paying more than it was worth.

CHEATING OTHERS 11.Welfare is a government program to help people who cannot work. But if a person who can work refuses to do so and still picks up a welfare check, he is guilty of stealing. How? He would be guilty of taking money from the government he didn’t deserve. He would be stealing from those that truly needed the money. It would also mean that taxpayers would have to pay more taxes to support him.
