History Founders Pete and Laura Wakeman started with a small roadside stand in Durham Connecticut during college Couple went on to open the first Great Harvest Bread Company in 1976 in Great Falls Montana 2nd store opened in Kalispell Montana in 1978, 3rd in Spokane Washington Pete and Laura Wakeman sold the bakery to Pete Rysted in 1983 and the franshise office was founded Current President and CEO is Mike Ferretti

Great Harvest in Corvallis Came to Corvallis in 1998 Travis and Michelle Pindell purchased the bakery in January 2005 making it locally owned for the first time.
