Citizenship Citizenship is given to you at birth and comes with responsibilities and rights. citizenship The way one handles one’s responsibilities as a citizen.

Citizenship Being a volunteer is one way to fulfill your responsibilities as a citizen. Volunteering allows you to: practice your current skills and learn new ones. explore careers. meet people. increase your self-esteem. volunteer To give one’s time and energy without pay to help others.

Responsibilities and Rewards of Citizenship Being responsible to your community can help you feel connected to your community. Find ways to help family members, neighbors, teachers, and friends. Show good manners at home, at school, at work, and in your community.

Responsibilities and Rewards of Citizenship Treat others like you want to be treated. Make new students feel welcome. Take care of shared property, such as library books, parks, buildings, and streets. What are some ways that you can help make new students feel welcome in your school?

Good leaders motivate and encourage others, share responsibilities and rewards, have a positive attitude, and make smart decisions. Leaders have different leadership styles, and a successful group needs all of its members to work together. 17
