Interactive Note Book First two things to do today include: 1.Check on page numbers 2.Label the front Cover Use a SHARPIE or other permanent marker Include the following information: YOUR NAME (First and last name ) CLASS HOUR MR. HOTCHKISS

More Interactive Note Book Basic I.N.B. Ground Rules: 1.Your INB is an important piece of work! Don’t loose it! 2.Lost INBs will need to be replaced – word for word – meaning you will need to borrow my class copy (it cannot leave the room) and rewrite all the missing work. 3.Your grade depends on the INB!

Expectations These Expectations fit with the INBs and for my class: – Follow Procedures – Participate in class and group discussions – Respect others, self, property – Be prepared for class – Search for answers to the many questions by exploring, talking, researching, etc.

The First Eight Pages The following pages will be TAPED into your INB on pages 1 through 8 in order! No pages can be sticking out of your INB and they must be taped – not glued, not stapled. 1.Interactive notebook Rubric 2.Light Bulb Connections Visual Outline 3.Words of Wisdom About the Light Bulb Connections Visual Outline 4.Why We Keep Interactive Notebooks 5.Interactive Notebook Thinking Process 6.Constructing the Light Bulb Connections Pages 7.How To Write a Light Bulb Connections Thesis 8.How to Write a Self-Reflection

Homework Tonight Cut and tape these 8 pages into your INB Read each page and highlight, color, and underline key points. There should be no loose pages and nothing can be hanging over the pages in the INB Should survive a “Shake Test” Due MONDAY, August 27, 2012
