LITERATURE

To Ponder What according to you is literature? Harry potter, Charlie and the chocolate factory, Percy Jackson, Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography, Tagore’s Gitanjali etc. which one would you classify as literature- read a few lines from each of the above. Who decides if something is a piece of literature? How will I know about the new writings which are classified as part of literature?

What is Literature? Literature to some is artistic form of writing. To some it means the beauty of expression. To some literature shows us what happened in a particular era- So how is it different from history or is it same as history. To some it means the art of written work.

Why we need Literature? Read for pleasure Read for fun. Literature helps to know about the customs, beliefs, thoughts, customs of different ages.

Forms and technique of Literature? FORMS 1.Fiction 2.Non- Fiction TECHINIQUE 1.Poetry 2.Prose 3.Drama 4.Etc.
