December 2 – Advantages of Compatibility in databases and variables  Data can be compared between countries and regions  Regional trans-boundary issues can be monitored by different countries but analysed as a single data set  Common data structures allow a generic database to be built which could be adopted and adapted by new programs with limited resources  Training on database systems and data analysis for coral reef monitoring could be developed centrally and provided cheaply to GCRMN members
