High School Planning for 10 th grade  Take Geometry or Algebra II, college prep English, and a language other than English.  Try to earn A and B grades in all your classes. Studying hard in high school will help prepare you for college coursework.  Update your High School Planner with the courses you complete in the 10th grade and those you plan to take in the 11th grade.  Focus on your class work and your homework to develop the study skills you will need to succeed in college.  Take part in enrichment programs, special summer workshops or camps at CSU campuses in music, science, engineering, writing, filmmaking, theater, language, and many other subjects.

Extracurricular Activities  Life Outside the Classroom "We're looking for a commitment to and a passion for an activity outside of the academic setting — we're looking for depth rather than breadth," explains Nanci Tessier, a college admission director.  Haven't Gotten Involved Yet? Many school, community and religious organizations give you chances to explore your interests and talents. There are lots of opportunities to try different things.  Community Service volunteer work tutoring elementary school kids spending time at a local hospital.  School Activities Don't worry about being president of the club, or captain of the team. The key is whether you've done something significant — center stage or behind the scenes.

CSU Application  Determine the CSU campus that best meets your needs  Explore detailed information about each campus  Get answers to your commonly asked questions  Access a wealth of information on admission and financial aid

Applying online CSU Mentor Plan your courses to meet CSU admission requirements Plan for College  Apply to any CSU campus over the internet  Transfer your CSUMentor information to the FAFSA on the web  Set up free to communicate with CSU campuses
