RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH

Righteousness by Faith Q. 1) How is righteousness obtained? –R–Romans 3:22 –“–“Even the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God through FAITH in Jesus CHRIST.”

Q. 2) Do my works contribute to salvation? –Ephesians 2:8,9 –“For by grace are SAVED through FAITH and that NOT of yourselves; it is the GIFT of God; not of WORKS, lest anyone should BOAST.”

Our Justification Q. 3) Salvation consists of three parts; justification, sanctification and glorification. What does justification accomplish for me? –R–Romans 3;24,25 –“–“being justified…to declare / demonstrate His RIGHTEOUSNESS …for the REMISSION of sins that are PAST.”

Q. 4) What must I do to receive justification or forgiveness for past sins? –1John 1:9 –“If we CONFESS our sins, He is faithful and just to FORGIVE us our sins, and to cleanse from all UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.”

A. Justification: - is conversion. Delivers us from sin’s penalty. B. Sanctification: - is victorious living. Delivers from sin’s power. C. Glorification: - entering heaven. Will deliver us from sins’ presence.

Salvation; Past, Present and Future THIS MEANS THAT… A. God has saved us from sin’s penalty. B. God is helping us from sin’s power. C. God will save us from sin’s presence.

Salvation; Past, Present and Future Q. 12) Is Jesus the sole basis for my salvation? –A–Acts 4:12 –“–“NOR is there SALVATION in any OTHER, for there is no other NAME under HEAVEN given among MEN by which we MUST be SAVED.”

Q. 13) What part do I play in salvation? –2 Corinthians 8:12 –“For if there is FIRST a willing MIND, it is ACCEPTED according to what one HAS, and not ACCORDING to WHAT he does NOT have.”
