SC.3/WP.3 39th Session, Geneva, June Main changes 2 Chapter 1. – General Provisions; Types of Certificates −Variant 1- waterways of the maritime character treated as the special sectors; no maritime navigation in the exam programme + navigation on maritime parts will be obligatory - no clear criteria for maritime sector (mixed traffic, dimensions of the waterway ) −Variant 2 - maritime navigation obligatory in the exam programme + broader knowledge for the boatmasters; simple administration and control - some boatmasters will never navigate on the maritime parts of the waterway
