WHAT IS CHRISTMAS? Christmas is a time of joy for the birth of Jesus Christ. It is time that begins on Christmas Eve, December 24. During this time students have Christmas holidays

CHRISTMAS IN THE WORLD Christmas is celebrated in many countries around the world. Each country has different customs associated with Christmas. They relate to food, decorating houses and various other things.

FOOD In Poland At the Polish table at Christmas we will find: herring, borscht soup, mushroom soup, dumplings with cabbage and mushrooms, carp and other fish, and a variety of cakes, such as cheesecake, poppy- seed cake, gingerbread In England A traditional English and British Christmas dinner includes roast turkey or goose, brussels sprouts, roast potatoes, cranberry sauce, rich nutty stuffing, tiny sausages wrapped in bacon (pigs in a blanket) and lashings of hot gravy.

HABITS With Christmas-related habits are different. Many of them are similar in many countries. For example, decorating a Christmas tree with colorful ornaments.
