3. Christmas in Hungary is even one of the biggest celebrations but people celebrate it all over the world. At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of man. 4. Traditionally people eat special foods and almost everybody decorates their own Christmas Tree. According to the ancient traditions on the 24th of December people don't eat meat just apple, nuts, honey, garlic, fish or fasting bean soup. There are some typical foods for Christmas these are for example: stuffed cabbage, different cakes from poppy seed, gingerbread, fish soup, fried fish, meat jelly, meringue.
