Primary Review – Rationale 3.44 Even now, a reasonable grasp of ICT is needed in education and employment, and it will become increasingly important to command ICT skills to prepare for technologies of the future To argue against the importance of ICT in the primary curriculum is to ignore the increasing digitisation of information worldwide. Note: Curriculum review due March / April 2011

The Framework for the National Curriculum. A report by the Expert Panel for the National Curriculum review Department for Education - December 2011 Information and communication technology is reclassified as part of the Basic Curriculum and requirements should be established so that it permeates all National Curriculum subjects. We have also noted the arguments, made by some respondents to the Call for Evidence,58 that there should be more widespread teaching of computer science in secondary schools. We recommend that this proposition is properly considered.

What do you like the most? It’s fun. The variety of vocab. How it doesn't let you give up. It helps you to memorise the vocab well. The fact you have to keep going until you get it right. I like being able to listen to the pronunciation of words The added competitive side makes things fun too :) It hammers the words into your head, ensuring you learn them.

Other comments “It’s veeeeery good thanks ms hardmannnn:)” “Not for any other groups because its special for our classs owowowoowowowoow.” “Really great way to motivate students into learning vocab - helps me learn verbs so i can recognise them when reading French books! Excellent!” Relationship building. Students feel special. Confidence in their language learning.
