4 What does Chartered Status mean in Banking? Being chartered is generally the gold standard for professionals working in certain sectors; recognised and supported by major financial organisations across the globe. Examples of chartered status within organisations:- CIOBS - Chartered Institute of Bankers ACCA - Association Of Chartered Certified Accountants CIPD – Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development CIMA – Chartered Institute of Management and Accounting ICAEW (ACA) – Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales CIM – Chartered Institute of Marketing The chartered title is an internationally recognised professional designation indicating the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, up-to-date technical expertise and the capabilities/competence of a qualified professional.

5 Chartered Institute of Bankers qualification Chartered Banker is the gold standard for professionals working in the banking sector. Chartered Banker gives you a world class qualification that helps you to achieve and maintain standards of excellence and professionalism expected by clients and employers. Chartered Banker is a practical, professional programme that combines theory and practice:- Provide extensive, detailed and critical knowledge and understanding of the banking sector Develop your skills and abilities to make professional judgements and informed decisions in work situations. A Chartered Banker has demonstrated and continues to demonstrate standards of professional excellence continually develops their skills and knowledge; and complies with the Chartered Banker Institute's Code of Professional Conduct. 7 Chartered Accountancy……… - Santander members of staff can become qualified chartered accountants; who usually complete a minimum of three years in-depth training including practical experience - They have to commit to continuing professional development training every year to keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date - They are bound by our Code of Ethics and are subject to the relevant disciplinary procedures - Most companies usually sponsor individuals to gain full accreditation. - Most of our Finance graduates receive both financial and study support to undertake the accountancy qualifications.

CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development) This is a professional association for human resource management professionals.human resource management Membership Status - Awarded on request to graduate members who have three years' relevant managerial experience. Or a non- graduate member assessed against the professional standards after five years' relevant experience. The CIPD’s research covers all aspects of working life, from recruitment to employment law, and work-life balance to productivity. Fellowship Status - An upgrade from Chartered MCIPD, applicants must have at least 10 years relevant experience. Most of our HR Staff receive support for CIPD membership.
