OUR MASCOT THE WARRIOR- WHAT DOES IT MEAN? The Warrior Tradition is a willingness to engage the enemy in battle. A Person engaged in Struggle or Conflict but Does Whatever it Takes to overcome their Conflict to see the Betterment of Others. THE WARRIOR- WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Heroine of the School- Gabby Gorta Gabby has been at this high school for four years. She has excelled academically as well as athletically. She maintains a 3.8 G.P.A. She will attend UCLA in the fall on a full athleticscholarship. During her tenure here Gabby has been president of the Key Club, a member of many clubs such as spanish and history. She also has organized numerous canned food drives for the homeless. Lastly, Gabby has the honor of being valadictorian of this years Senior Class.

HERO OF THE SCHOOL-DICK BUTKUS Dick Butkus is a member of the Class of 1960 at Algonquin High School. He went onto the Univeristy of Illinois, where he was an all-american football player and was then drafted by the Chicago Bears of the NFL. After his career was over he was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame. While at Algonquin High Dick was not only known for football, he was one of the pioneers of the student council and peer leadership programs. He currently is making motivating speeches and cameos in movies.

TRADITION OF THE SCHOOL Home Comming football game is held every year at the last home football game of the seasion. This is where students form the past and present all come back to Algonquin High School to cheer on their Algonquin Warriors! It also is a good way for the almuni to reconnect to their school by talking to teachers and staff and finding out how the school is doing and seeing if they can assist the school in any way.

CEREMONY AT THE SCHOOL Every year on the first Saturday in June Algonquin High School holds its annual commencment ceremony. Every year faculty, staff, freinds and family all gather in the school's gym for the annual ceremony. This years class of 200 young men and women are now on their way to college, but will be greatly missed because of their work ethic and dedication to the school.

ALGONQUIN HIGH SCHOOL WARRIORS FOUNDED IN 1901 REMODELED IN 1966 AND 2005 WE STRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF ACAMDEMICS AS WELL AS EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVTIES OUR STUDENT POPULATION IS CURRENTLY 2,200 WE OPERATE ON TWO SEPERATE CAMPUSES ONE FOR GRADE 9-10, AND ONE FOR GRADES OUR SPORTS TEAMS COMPETE IN CENTRAL JERSEY GROUP IV WE HAVE A LONG-STANDING TRADITION OF SUCCESSFUL FOOTBALL AND GIRLS SOCCER/FIELD HOCKEY
