Great Orchestra of the Christmas Charity By Maciek Brazewicz and Kuba Bochinski

Who established it... On 2 March 1993 in Warsaw, Poland Great Orchestra of the Christmas Charity was established by Jerzy Owsiak, Lidia Niedźwiedzka-Owsiak, Bohdan Maruszewski, Piotr Burczyński, Paweł Januszewicz, Walter Chełstowski, Beata Bethke.

On the 3rd January On the 3rd January 1993 Orchestra organized great national money collecting for children with CHD at the Children's Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw. This biggest Polish hospital for children had a foundation for buying medical equipment for congenital heart surgery.

On the 3rd January The aim was noble, so it was announced on TV program "Just do what you want" and Jurek invited everybody for a big happening and party. Nobody has expected such a fantastic success! This first Final allowed for sharing money between all 10 departments for Congenital Heart Surgery in Poland. This Final has shown how many people want to help but need a good incentive.

So... So, Orchestra had to organize next finals. The official specific goal of Foundation is: activities for life saving - especially childrens life, health promotion and prevention. These issues became main aims written in Fundations bylaws.
