Disruptive what? A disruptive technology is a new technological innovation, product, or service that eventually overturns the existing dominant technology in the market By contrast, sustaining technology refers to the successive incremental improvements to performance that market incumbents incorporate into their existing product. Well it’s good, I know… E-learning offers the advantages of allowing self-paced learning, visualization, multimedia, constantly updated materials, formative evaluation tailored based on learners' progress and hyperlinks to other resources on the web.

But how do I put it together? Gagné and Briggs (1979) approach of nine key instructional events … 1. Capture the attention of the learner. 2. Describe to learners what objectives are to be achieved. 3. Help learners recall prerequisite learning. 4. Present instruction to facilitate the learners’ achievement of the objectives. 5. Guide learners through the material so they begin to meet the objectives.

…continued 6. Prompt the performance desired from the instruction so learners meet the objectives. 7. Give learners feedback, and make suggestions for improvement as appropriate, so learners sense how well they are beginning to meet the objectives. 8. Evaluate how well learners are beginning to achieve the objectives. 9. Work toward helping the learners retain what they have learned and apply it. 6. Capture the attention of the learner.

Visual Design Legibility of words and pictures so that it can be seen clearly. Reduce effort in interpreting message as this may impede the meaning of what you want to convey. Increase active engagement of learner through better look and feel It is important to focus attention to important part as you do not want to distract your learner from what you intend for them to know.
