Limestone Township Fire Protection District Vehicle Accident November 26, 2007

At approximately 0705 on November 26, 2007 Limestone FPD (near Peoria, Illinois) received a call of a single-vehicle roll-over accident on Lancaster Road. The engine in these pictures approached the scene from their Firehouse west of the location. Reports are that the engine began to fishtail on the bridge (visible in some photos), the rear end slid to the right, got sideways on the roadway leaving the bridge and rolled, ending up on it's wheels in the left-hand ditch, facing the opposite way of it's direction of travel. Both occupants were belted, the cab held up well and only minor injuries were reported.
