The New Bedford Bay Sox are a nationally-ranked summer collegiate baseball team. Summer college baseball has been a New England tradition for 130 years, and the Bay Sox are proud to build on that tradition and bring it to the SouthCoast region. The Bay Sox are members of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). The league has ten teams across the six New England states and is considered one of our nation's elite leagues bringing together top-ranked college players with professional baseball aspirations from around the country. In 2012, under new ownership, the Bay Sox hosted all-star players from Notre Dame, Columbia, Northwestern, Harvard and over a dozen other colleges. This best-ever Bay Sox team was managed by former Red Sox star Rick Miller. The team plays a 42-game schedule with half-its games at the pride of SouthCoast baseball, Paul Walsh field.
