The History of the University of Pécs The Anjou King Louis the Great established the first Hungarian university in Pécs The Royal Academy is transferred to Pécs Bishop Ignác Szepesy established the Academy of Pécs with two faculties: the law and arts faculties The Erzsébet University of Pozsony (Bratislava) is transferred to Pécs The Medical University of Pécs is established The Faculty of Economics is established The Teacher Training College of Pécs is merged with the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law.
