Formal Qualifications UK Honours Degree 2:2 or above. At least 50% in the relevant subject (flexible in some circumstances) GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English No history of failure or withdrawal from QTS course in the past.

Special consideration will be given to priority subjects…. Maths Physics Chemistry and then: ICT Design and Technology Modern Foreign Languages Those who have LSA / cover supervisor experience or experience of whole school issues.

Courses offered by the University of Chichester as well as the priority subjects: Science (Biology), Business Studies, English, PE, Dance, Music, Drama, History, RE and Art

At this stage: Chemistry, Physics, Maths, ICT, English and PE. Courses offered the University of Southampton

The Application Process The application process has recently changed Applicant completes school application form to be received by Wednesday 12 th October 2011 – 3pm. Applicants will be notified in writing by 26th October School invites successful applicants into school for a day, which will include a formal interview, Friday 4 th November University interviews follow, January – March Successful applicants arrange work experience within Wildern – 15 days

The Application Process Successful applicants attend an interview at University of Chichester or University of Southampton, which includes a subject audit University Tutor visits school to conduct a School Assessment, where appropriate School / applicant complete application online – new directive from the TDA School / applicant informed of start date and Induction date.

To support your application Personal Statement – there will be an exemplar statement on the GTP page of Wildern website this week References will be asked for Applicants should:  emphasise experience in schools and what has been gained from this in relation to teaching  refer to the QTS standards, which can be found on the TDA website  demonstrate an awareness of whole school issues  keep up to date with issues in Education – Times Education Supplement  be aware of differences between GTP / PGCE programme

Funding Wildern School only applies for supernumerary places, with full Salary and Training grant. The TDA pays the school through the salary grant, and a training grant.
