So far only 5 cadets from X Company have registered. Normal cost per cadet is £100. Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements other than that learners should be aged between 13-15yrs at time of registration. It is aimed at cadets who have completed their recruit training and are just starting on their 1*. What the cadet will gain? Cadets should be 3* training and have done (or will soon be doing) a JCIC Enrolments have to be submitted to CVQO by 31 st October in any year. Point to note – the application forms have to be countersigned and sent in by Capt Dawes, Application forms should be submitted in plenty of time. The course is 2 years but the first workbook has to be submitted by the end of March, therefore any cadet who registered in October 2013 should have submitted workbook one by the end of March this year. Workbook 2 should be in by end April next year. The course is a mix of theory and practical work (cadets are credited with the practical work they have gained as a cadet – Map & Compass, AT, expo etc) This qualification is equivalent to 4 GCSE’s grade A* - C

Be aware of which of your cadets have enrolled on the course. Encourage those on the course now which will, in turn encourage others to enrol. Give them time to do their workbooks during parade nights and weekend camps. Offer them your guidance and support in completing their workbooks
