Four Components: Core and three additional components
Core: Choice between three A levels or BTEC Extended Diploma
BTEC Certificate in Work Skills Plus Level 3, equivalent to one AS
Extended Project Level 3- free choice of subject, equivalent to one AS
AS Global Perspectives- provides opportunity to demonstrate global awareness, equivalent to one AS
International Diploma will be equivalent to 4.5 A levels

Information on AS Global Perspectives
The As in Global Perspectives will involve and engage students in the issues and debates that will shape the world in the 21st Century such as: International Trade, Global Justice, Conflict and Climate Change. The qualification builds on themes taken from GCSE Citizenship Studies and places elements of Geography, Government and Politics and Religious Studies into a real world context.
The AS can be taught by any teacher with a humanities background. Centres can use the Level 3 Extended Project to make this up to an A2 equivalence.
