Order Choices vs. Lab Tests

Order Choices vs. Lab Tests Lab tests are the assays that are performed to produce patient results. Order Choices are what the doctor chooses to order for his patient so that a clear clinical understanding is probable. CBC is an Order Choice as is TSH. When a CBC is ordered, the White Count, Hemoglobin and Platelet Count are just some of the test results obtained by completing the sample study. When a TSH is ordered, a TSH is the result obtained when the sample study is completed.

Order Choices vs. Lab Tests The Review Results window is divided into two distinct areas. The Order Choices are at the top and their corresponding Lab Tests are in the bottom half. The Lab Tests can only be seen when the Order Choice is highlighted in the top half of the Review Results window.
