17 3. Significant Environmental Impacts Identify environmental impacts Aspect: The cause Element of an organisation’s activities, products or services that can interact with the environment. For example, discharge of trade effluent into sewers/rivers ultimately… Impact: The effect Any change to the environment, whether adverse or beneficial, resulting form an organisation’s activities, products or services. In the example opposite the impact of trade effluent into sewers are: harmful to health of sewer workers, water pollution polluted river, effecting the wildlife and plants.
