2 What is ISO14001? A documented system of all impacts a company are having on the environment. A detailed strategy to reduce these impacts. A plan to continuously monitor and measure the reduction of these impacts.

3 Environmental Policy This policy defines the companys commitment to protecting the environment. It will be located on all environmental notice boards and on the reception wall.

4 Objectives and Targets For each impact, an objective is set and a target date for completion. A strategy and monitoring programme is put in place for each objective (Environmental Management Programme). The list of objectives and targets will be displayed on the Environmental notice boards.

5 What are typical impacts? 1.Potential VOC Air Emissions. 2. Waste Disposal to Landfill. 3. Noise Emissions. 4. Foul effluent & Water Management. 5.Resource Consumption. 6.Chemical storage & Transport 7.Construction of extension

6 ISO14001 Accreditation External auditors come on site for two days to audit the EMS. They will assess sites commitment to the environment and improvements that have made.
