Leading global excellence in procurement and supply ‘To create and implement a grade above MCIPS’ Project Purpose

Leading global excellence in procurement and supply The Chartered member grade will sit above MCIPS The Chartered member grade will be available globally Members have to be MCIPS before being awarded Charter The Chartered member grade once gained will have to be renewed annually, (CPD is likely to be the requirement. CIPS has a robust online CPD system available free to members of all grades) Members will lose their Chartered member grade if the requirements of the annual renewal are not fulfilled. Members will revert back to MCIPS A register of all members with Charter will be published on the website Charter Grade – The principles (1)

Leading global excellence in procurement and supply The Chartered member grade will be at Masters Level learning There will be three routes to achieving Charter An academic route. CIPS Executive Diploma in Strategic Sourcing An applied learning route. Masters level Corporate Award – leading to the CIPS Executive Diploma in Procurement and Supply (title to be agreed) An experiential route for senior and long standing practitioners who can demonstrate the competencies required To ensure personal accountability all Chartered Member applications will have to undertake an online annual Ethics Test If a Charter member brings CIPS or the profession into disrepute then disciplinary action will be taken Charter Grade – The principles(2)

Leading global excellence in procurement and supply CIPS GLOBAL STANDARD IN PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CIPS Corporate Award Practitioner & Advanced Practitioner Academic Qualifications Led Route MCIPS – PROFESSIONAL LICENCE Online Qualification Executive Diploma in Strategic Sourcing Corporate Award Executive Diploma in Procurement and Supply CHARTERED MEMBER – ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL LICENCE Experiential Route for Senior Practitioners (Criteria to be developed) ONLINE ETHICAL TEST / CPD Appendix One Management Entry Route (Experiential)

Privy council Global Board of Trustees Congress – UK and International Government Department for Education and Skills Education Providers, HE, FE and Private Centres Public Sector – UK Government and other government who mandate or support CIPS Subsidiary offices, including key stakeholders and members Advisory Board Fellows Past Presidents All members and branches Voices of the profession in industry Industry, clients and business groups. Third tier Key Stakeholder Groups for Consultation England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, South Africa, Zambia, Australia, Kenya – anywhere where CIPS is encouraged and supported

HM the Queen approves amendments to the Charter, which becomes effective on that date October 2014 The Privy Council issue the Order (the formal amendment to the Charter)November 2014 CIPS launch of Chartered Member statusNovember 2014
