You and I can DO LOVE!

Ephesians 5:21 “submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.”

“So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.” NLT, ESV.

Submission: – It’s a military term. – It has the idea of ranking oneself under another; lining up or getting under the one you are serving. – AND it is done voluntarily!

Examples in Ephesians 5:22 – 6:9 – Wives and husbands – Children and parents – Slaves and Masters (employees/employers)

Jesus – the greatest example of all: -He came as a servant -He lived out His life as a servant -One day, He will even serve us again! Luke 12:35 – 38 He will seat and serve us as we eat!

DO LOVE By living out the attitude: “I am here for YOU!”
