1 Honor Each Other Ephesians 5:19-33

2 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled [keep on being filled] with the Spirit.   Ephesians 5:18

3 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God tahe Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ Ephesians 5:19-20

4 Submit [Be subject] to one another out of reverence for Christ
Submit [Be subject] to one another out of reverence for Christ.    ~ Ephesians 5:21 Dynamic Equivalent: “Honor each other. This is your worship to Jesus.”

5 “God paid the human race the supreme honor by becoming one of us
“God paid the human race the supreme honor by becoming one of us. Then He paid us an even greater honor—in His death and resurrection. He made a way for us to become one with Him...our supreme honor is to imitate the One who has honored us by inviting people into God’s generosity and giving them a taste of what we’ve experienced...Honor is given on the basis of who people are—not what they’ve earned or even what they need.” ~ Danny Silk

6 Wives, submit to [honor] your husbands as to the Lord
Wives, submit to [honor] your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head [protector out front] of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to [honors] Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. ~ Ephesians 5:22-24

7 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. ~ Ephesians 5:25-27

8 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church—30 for we are members of his body. ~ Ephesians 5:28-30

9 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a profound mystery — but I am talking about Christ and the church.” ~ Ephesians 5:31-32

10 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. ~ Eph. 5:33
