Parks in Vainer: Overview The following 12 parks are found in our community: Carillon Park Centre d’Acceuil Champlain Emond Park Optimist/Genest Park Janeville Park Kiwanis Park Marier Ave. Park Nault Park Richelieu Park Riverain Park St. Ambroise Bernard Grandmaitre Park

1. Carillon Park Location: 246 PARK ST City-planned Upgrades: 2016: REPLACE PARK IDENTIFICATION SIGN (1) LARGE RESET UNIT PAVER WALKWAY AND PATIO REPLACE PERIMETER CHAIN LINK

2. Centre d’Acceuil Champlain Location: 275 Perrier Ave. City-planned Upgrades: 2018: Centre d’Acceuil Champlain Gazebo REPLACE SHADE STRUCTURE EAST AND WEST Our Proposed Ideas: Shuffle board renovation (paint etc..)

3. Emond Park Location: EMOND ST City-Planned Upgrades: 2011: REPLACE PLAYSTRUCTURES, INSTALL NEW SAFE SURFACE 2017: REPLACE PARK IDENTIFICATION SIGN (1) LARGE REPLACE PERIMETER CHAIN LINK REPLACE CONCRETE RETAINING WALL AND CURBS REPLACE UNIT PAVER PATIO Plans: Meeting with City Planner on Jan. 17 to discuss the proposed plans for the park

Our Priorities The following items are considered immediate priorities for the Parks and Recreation Sub-Committee: Familiarize ourselves well with the following 3 parks; Emond (e.g., new playstructure), Optmiste (e.g., assess the pool and adjoining building), and Riverain (general). Shuffle Board at Richelieu/Centre d’Acceuil Champlain needs repainting and some easy work. Any other suggestions for proposed ideas or priorities?
