Personality

 My theme was appearances can sometimes be deceiving. Does anyone's appearance actually match their personality? One example of this theme is on page 136 when Iggy was at the hospital waiting for Loretta. In the text it said that “he was chewing a hole right through his beard he was so worried, and it made me think he wasn’t such a bad dude after all.” The text also says “It all goes to show, like Grim says, that you cant always judge a book my its cover.”

 On page 63 Loretta didn’t know max and she don’t give an interest for him until she found out what Max was going through. On page 127 Loretta try's to get max out. Loretta had a big character change.

 At the begging, on page 20 of the book Freak went over to Max’s house, when they first met and they were just hanging out. When they hear a calling for Kevin, Freak knew who it was. It was the Fair Gwen (Freaks mother), she thought that Max was probably hurting him. The book states that “She was running home” and that max knows that she was scared of him. Then on page 23 Gwen invites Max over to apologize to him for being rude.

 Appearances can sometimes be deceiving. Does anyone’s appearance actually match their personally? Explain. What the theme is saying is that you could be pretty on the outside but rude on the inside.
