Requirements Management Integrated solution for defining, managing and tracking requirements Key Benefits Business analyst can collaborate on application requirements without fear of overriding other’s work Assess overall risk to the business through real-time visibility of test coverage and associated defects against business needs Assess the impact of change before changing requirements Easy adoption by Business Analysts Key Capabilities Define and track multiple requirement types Establish templates to ensure higher quality requirements Manage requirements dependencies Bi-directional traceability from requirements to requirements, tests and defects Manage change requests through formal approval process Familiar rich test editor interface Version Control and Baselining Leverage existing assets in MS Word Requirements = translating business goals/objectives into a realized software-enabled business process. You need to understand the business goals and objectives AND you have to care about the IT approach and impact. This is a strategic control point in the process – if you don’t get it right, even if you do everything else perfectly, you will fail in the end if you have not delivered against the requirements. When you begin to understand the perspective of each side – you can see how the requirements will help bridge the gap between IT and the business. Key benefits: Manage requirements changes and impact Multi-dimensional traceability Requirements coverage analysis Requirements linkages to requirements, tests, defects Bi-directional traceability across the application quality lifecycle Key capabilities Manage complete and verifiable requirements and dependencies Track multiple requirements types Analyze requirements change impact Leverage existing assets in MS Word Integrates with demand systems, both strategic and operational HP Confidential 13/04/17

Business Process Modeling Requirements Management Key Benefits Exact alignment between the defined business process and business requirements Clear understanding of the exact business process and critical paths Clear communication of the business process to development and QA to achieve end to end coverage Key Capabilities Import Business Process Models from industry leading tools Standard BPMN format Automatically generate requirements hierarchy Link requirements to the model Track and trace critical business paths Share BPMs with QA and Development Exact alignment between the defined business process and business requirements Clear understanding of the exact business process and critical paths Clear communication of the business process to development and QA to achieve end to end coverage Import Business Process Models from industry leading tools Standard BPMN format Automatically generate requirements hierarchy Link requirements to the model Trace critical business paths Share BPMs with QA and Development HP Confidential 13/04/17

Version Control Create and manage entities while maintaining previous versions Key Benefits Allows distributed teams to collaborate on the joint development of requirements and tests without over-riding other’s changes. Track the “story” of how requirements and tests were developed Protect data through roll back of versioned requirements Key Capabilities Identify, track and roll back changes that were made to requirements, tests, and test resources. Version control is integrated and enabled for requirements, tests and test resources “Check out” an asset to make changes, “Check in” an asset when changes are complete create and manage entities while maintaining previous versions of those entities. Feature: Version control is enabled for requirements, tests and test assets to enable distributed teams to collaborate and manage multiple versions of assets in parallel while maintaining data integrity and providing an audit history of changes throughout the project lifecycle. A component can be checked out for update, then checked back in when changes are complete. All projects utilizing that asset are automatically notified of the change and can choose to accept or reject the change as they manage their version of assets. Benefit: Allows distributed teams to collaborate on joint development of tests without the risk of over-riding each other’s changes. They no longer have to worry about making multiple copies of the assets and can be automatically notified when an asset changes so they can stay in synch with the latest version, or choose to continue using the version that they have. Baselining Track changes made to entities in your project over time Key Benefits Compare releases and cycles A snapshot of the project state at a particular point in time Enable rollback of assets to key points in the application lifecycle Compare baselines to assess changes Ability to use baselines in test execution Key Capabilities Create baselines – including traceability between assets Compare baselines both at high level and drill down to specific changes including traceability Report and print baselines for sign-off Control who can create and modify baselines Baselining allows you to capture a group of requirements, tests or test assets at strategic points in the project lifecycle to mark specific milestones. You can compare baselines to assess the impact of changes and enable rollback of assets, if required. Key benefits A snapshot of the project state at a particular point in time Enable rollback of assets to key points in the application lifecycle Compare baselines to assess changes Ability to use baselines in test execution Key capabilities Create baselines – including traceability between assets Compare baselines both at high level and drill down to specific changes Report and print baselines for sign-off Control who can create and modify baselines HP Confidential 13/04/17

Risk-based Quality Management Help overcome the question of “what to test?” Key Benefits Objectively assess and prioritize the highest-risk, highest-priority requirements Manage strategies and processes based on business risk Fine-tune your testing effort based on quantifiable business risk Provides guidance on where to allocate testing resources. Key Capabilities Assess requirements risk Auto calculate testing effort Assessments made by calculations based on: Business Criticality Failure Probability Functionality Complexity Short: With Risk Based Test Management, stakeholders can assign business risk to requirements which helps test managers calculate where to apply testing resources. This allows you to develop a strategic plan and a business contract between QA and business managers so that limited time and resources can be focused on the highest-risk, highest-priority requirements. Advanced test planning capabilities allow functional, regression, load, unit and integration testing–each with its own set of requirements, schedules and procedures. You can emulate real life business processes and run tests unattended, during off-peak times. Detailed: Risk Based Test Management – Highly competitive business environment today is forcing organizations to do more with less. While resources available to IT organizations are shrinking, applications are growing in number, size and complexity. The business risk associated with this scenario can now be managed through QC Risk Based test management. Stakeholders can assign business risk to the requirements that helps test managers calculate how much effort to spend on testing each requirement. This helps you develop strategic plan and develop business contract between QA and business managers. Tests can now be designed based upon requirements. QC can manage both automated and manual tests in same repository to help easy reusability of these assets. Advanced test planning capabilities allows various types of testing including functional, regression, load, unit and integration – each with its own set of requirements, schedules and procedure. You can run tests unattended and emulate real life business processes. Business Criticality and Failure Probability is now assessed in the same tab in the Requirements module, named Risk. The values for each of these factors are used to calculate an overall risk. ➤ The Functionality Complexity HP Confidential 13/04/17

Release & Cycle Management Track and measure the progress and quality of releases and cycles Key Benefits Manage projects and assets against release and cycles Track release progress Gain visibility into release readiness and release quality Compare releases and cycles for continuous process improvement Key Capabilities Manage requirements & tests according to application releases and dev/QA cycles Compare planned vs. actual progress for each application release and cycle Assess release quality across multiple cycles SHORT: To help organizations adapt to rapidly changing applications, release and cycle management enables you to adapt to quick development and testing cycles and also break large projects into meaningful phases. You can better plan the release effort by identifying requirements and tests for each cycle and real-time visibility into Actual vs. Planned testing status provides the ability to manage multiple releases and test cycles and make informed go/no go decisions. DETAILED Releases – more and more IT organizations are realizing the need to adapt to fast changing product and relying upon new methodologies such as Agile. Release and Cycle Management enables you to follow quick development and testing cycles and break larger project into meaningful phases. Key benefits Provide visibility into releases and cycles followed by QA teams Evaluate and improve quality processes over the lifetime of application Requirements can be associated with cycles for agile development Improve effectiveness of go/no go decisions Key capabilities Manage requirements and tests according to application releases and QA cycles Compare planned vs. actual progress for each application release and QA cycle Assess release quality across multiple QA cycles HP Confidential 13/04/17

Test Plan Define, manage and track all test scripts Key Benefits Create test cases to adequately test the requirements Manage all test types (Functional, Performance, Security) in one place Ensure requirements coverage through traceability to requirements Manage change associated with requirements changes Key Capabilities Design, build and manage manual and automated test cases Link test cases to requirements Leverage test cases from MS Word and MS Excel Version Control and Baselining manage all test types in one place HP Confidential 13/04/17

Test Resources Central repository for all your testing resources and libraries Key Benefits Increase reuse of test resources by different tests by storing and sharing resources in a central repository Reduce test case maintenance creating a single point of maintenance for test resources Assess impact of changes to shared assets Key Capabilities Share and store test resources such as: Data tables Functional Libraries Configuration files Object repositories Recovery scenarios Manage test resources in a hierarchical tree structure containing resource folders and resources Version Control With FT 10.0, we’ve built a tighter integration between QTP and HP Quality Center, enabling centralized management of QTP assets within the QC repository and support for the new functionality introduced in QC. The external resource module within QC allows QTP users to store test assets such as data tables, reusable functional libraries and object repositories, recovery scenarios, etc. and managed in a centralized repository within QC, and to trace sharing of assets and understand the impact of changes to shared assets.  By managing QTP assets within QC, QC will be able to recognize and understand those resources and no longer attach them as a “black box” to the QTP tests. Each asset, including the QTP test itself, will have full versioning capabilities and baselining that are recognized and supported within QC just as any other asset. And now that you’re able to share and version those reusable assets, and compare them, you can select the version of the asset you want to use. Full comparison capabilities for QTP assets within QC is now available with a drill down to the asset level. So we have a high level view of the test, what kind of component changed, for example a data table, and drill down to the asset level to see the actual changes HP Confidential 13/04/17
